We offer guided hunts for Desert Mule Deer, Elk, Javelina, Predators & Upland Game.  These desert deer live in the foothills of Southern Arizona’s mountain ranges.  We conduct most of our desert deer hunts on private property in the Southwest area of Arizona. These deer live in the arid desert and come in and out of the farmland that we have located here on our property so these hunts aren’t physically demanding hunts at all!

Elk
Arizona has some of the best elk hunting in the world and can be considered the top producer for record-class bulls.  We offer a few great hunting packages for all elk enthusiasts from late rifle bull elk hunts to early rut hunts, archery hunts and even cow elk hunts.  Most of these elk hunts are conducted on infamous trophy areas of Arizona State Trust Land, the Coconino National Forest.  The most popular elk hunting time frame is during the rutting season when bulls and cows are vocal.  We offer an archery rut hunt and an early firearms rut hunt in Arizona. These hunts are on a limited draw basis in some of the best elk areas in the Nation!  Hunting elk during the rut usually means finding love-crazed bulls that bugle their heads off!  Mid-September through the beginning of October hits the main part of the rut, so there is usually nonstop action on these hunts.  The early firearms/muzzleloader hunt follows the archery hunt and, again, there is usually a lot of action!  Bulls fall victim to a call during this time frame. Nothing gets the blood pumping more than hearing a monster bull elk answer your calls and come crashing in straight for you!  Your guide can often bugle-in a bull elk to within shooting distance or use a cow call to do the coaxing.  Our archery and early muzzleloader or early rifle elk hunts are conducted mostly in higher timber elevations of 7000 to 9500 ft.  Even though hunting is done in September and October, the weather during these hunts is very enjoyable. It can range from 75 degrees in the day to 40 degrees at night. Hunting is done on foot, so hunters should be in good physical condition.

Javelina
Javelina can be one of the most enjoyable game animals to hunt in Arizona.  They are sociable, pig-like animals that hang in groups of 5 to 15. The common name is the “collared peccary” because of a white ring of hair that circles the neck region.  They offer a challenging hunt for the archery hunter, handgun hunter, or even rifle hunter. Ground blinds, spot and stalk are the methods we use to tag one of these unique animals.  We use high-powered Nikon optics to locate a herd. Spending a lot of time in the field enables us to have a great opportunity knowing areas that the herds frequent. Once a herd is located, a ground blind is placed in advance to your hunt, or a stalk can be planned as we are glassing during the hunt. Javelina have poor eyesight, which enables hunters to approach within closer distances than other big game. This does not mean they are easy to hunt.  Hunters must keep the wind in their favor when making a stalk and be extremely quiet in order to get within a desired shooting distance.  Because of their large canines, Javelina make nice open-mouth mounts.  If you are successful, a full-body mount of a snarling Javelina can be a very unique trophy.  Our archery Javelina hunts in January can be combined with a mule deer hunt.  Hunters should note that our hunts can entail a great deal of hiking in order to find the wild groups of Javelina. Hunters are encouraged to condition themselves before arriving. Typically, if you are in good enough shape to hike to the quality areas, you should have a great opportunity on a Javelina.

Predator
Arizona has a variety of predators including coyotes, foxes, and bobcats. Predator hunting is available year round, with limitations on seasons for fox and bobcats (August 1st to March 31st). We conduct our predator hunts mainly on private property. Whether during the off-season or in between guiding big game hunts, predator hunting is our favorite activity.  Predator hunting is a great management tool for controlling the predator population in our private property hunting areas.  We offer guided hunts for these animals which involve coaxing them with a mouth call or electronic caller and decoys.  Coyotes mostly become a victim to the call, but occasionally, a bobcat may stalk-in to check out the intriguing noises that we are making. Be prepared for some excitement and fast shooting when any of these predators come charging in becoming victims to the call!
