Spanish Ibex:  Gredos, Beceite, South-Eastern & Ronda

Season:  October – May
We are proud of being one of the few hunting companies that have its own Beceite Spanish Ibex hunting concessions.  We manage our own game reserve, which is over 160,000 acres of land around the Hunting Preserve of Tortosa-Beceite.  In that concession our hunters harvest year after year the biggest trophies of that subspecies of Beceite Spanish Ibex.  Our game reserve that is located near the Los Puertos Tortosa-Beceite is at about 3,300 ft above sea level and sits in the eastern part of the country between the Valencia Region and Aragon.  This is about 124 miles from Barcelona and 62 miles from Valencia.

Gredos:
Probably the better known one of the 4 sub-species.  It has the largest horns of the four, with the typical lyre form and is typically the most sought after.

Beceite:
It is the second largest one, but its horns are straighter than the Gredos Ibex.  This animal is sought after for its sheer beauty.

South-Eastern:
It would be the third largest one.  These sub-species live on the South-Eastern Spanish coast and in land from there.  The horns of this one tend to vary a bit from the others and are typically smaller with a slight curve.

Ronda:
The smallest of the sub-species, and with horns that typically resemble the Alpine Ibex.  This is typically the horn formation but will vary from herd to herd.

Red Deer

Season:  September – February
The deer where exclusive from Spain and may be hunted by spot and stalk.  They are very similar to the Central European Red Deer but with more points in its antlers.

Mouflon

Season:  September – May
They were introduced in Spain in the 17th Century and has firmly re-established itself in our mountains.  These animals are very difficult to hunt due to their highly developed eye sight and instincts.

Fallow Deer

Season:  September – February
This graceful spotted animal makes a spectacularly beautiful trophy!  They inhabit the woodland and the wide-open areas of our mountain range.

Chamois

Season:  September – December & April – June
As all the Chamois all over the world have hooked shaped horns Spain has some of the prettiest!  We have two sub-species here which are the Pyrenean & Cantabrian.  These animals are a real challenge to real hunters and the only difference between these and the Pyrenean is that the Pyrenean are slightly larger in horn size.

Roe Deer

Season:  September – February & May to September
These deer are the smallest of all species you can hunt in Spain and they make for a pretty and stylish trophy.

Wild Boar

Season:  Year Round
There are great populations of Wild Boar all over Spain and are abundant throughout most of our areas.  They typically have large tusks but they are a bit smaller than their relatives in Central Europe.
